Free Trieste contradicts the declarations of lawyer N. Sponza about the Free Port

The Free Trieste Movement contradicts the declarations released to Il Piccolo of May 12th, (page 26) by the political secretary of the namely said election team “Territorio Libero”, lawyer Nicola Sponza, according to whom the action for the registration and legal record of the ownership of the Northern Free Port to as a State property of the Free Territory of Trieste – international Free Port has been rejected  as it had no legal grounds nor legitimate titles of ownership.

The FTM underlines that the current registration procedure is not the one that was rejected by the Land Registry Judge – for reasons that are now under question, as it is the parallel procedure to complete the Land Registry with the registration.

The advocated titles of ownership are the Treaty of Peace and the Italian laws which ratify and enforce it, which means normative instruments in legal force, prevailing on domestic law and that are already enforced for the registration ex legs of the ownership of other properties as State Property of the Free Territory of Trieste (the latest took place in 1994).

The Free Trieste Movement considers it “interesting” that during the press blackout of the politicians who are promoting the urbanization of the Northern Free Port as for the registration procedure as about the warnings and complaints they received, the delegitimisation attempts are carried out by a group which exploits the name of the Free Territory to run for Italian elections.
