I would like to re-publish post “Investigated for what?” from this blog of mine. I originally wrote it on February 28th, 2014.
It is an article about the – ongoing at the time – investigations of the Trieste Prosecution Office following Free Trieste’s 10 February [2014] demonstration in defense of the Northern Free Port.
On Monday [November 9th, 2015], 17 of the 19 persons investigated for that demonstration go under trial.
Today [November 7th, 2015] that post of mine was taken by Movement “Territorio Libero”. That organization is falsely claiming to be the article’s author. And goes as far as to use it to promote its run in the 2016 municipal election.
I must repeat that I have absolutely nothing to do with political movement “Territorio Libero”. Besides being subject to its defamation, aggressions, and threats since July 2014, of course. Which only makes it more obscene that such people use my writing for their own political campaign, and even claim credit for it.
The fake pro-independence “Territorio Libero” movement was established by people who left Free Trieste. They opposed our policy, as they wanted to run in the 2016 Municipal Elections (therefore recognizing the self-declared sovereignty of the State of Italy). And we all have seen the damages those people caused to the struggle of the Free Territory of Trieste’s rights.
Political movement “Territorio Libero” has nothing to do with “Trieste Libera” (Free Trieste). Yet, it still tries to exploit out actions, documents and writings to get some couple of votes. That movement is Free Trieste’s the antithesis.
Those impostors attempt to take Free Trieste’s place, to turning the defense of Trieste’s independence in a much better (for Italy) call for partial autonomy. It is clear. They use a trade association that, despite being close to “Territorio Libero” deceptively uses name “Trieste Libera Impresa” (why not “Territorio Libero Impresa”?). Its logo is very similar to Free Trieste’s.
This gang of fake pro-independence activists has denounced me to the Italian judiciary several times, and yet, none of them has ever questioned the source of their jurisdiction. In facts, they did go as far as denying the Free Territory before Court.
Their press release about the 9 November hearing, those fakers, who are even summoning “primaries” to chose their own candidate for the illegitimate Italian election, claim that the trial depends on the outcome of the 2016 Municipal elections. Therefore, their electoral victory would weaken the trial.
An outright homage to the local nationalistic lobby. Bargaining a candidacy and unity in pro-Italy institutions to get clemency by a pro-Italy judicial authority.
In the trial, I am charged with organizing and planning everything: the demonstration as well as the policy of the only pro-law Movement that will never recognize the sovereignty of the Republic of Italy over the Free Territory of Trieste.
I, Roberto Giurastante, citizen of the Free Territory of Trieste, will never run for the illegal elections summoned in my land in the name of Italy.
